Who do you trust? that is the question. Rex or Alex? My guess is most people in Chicago would rather have Alex Smith. I like Smith to have an impressive outing tonight throwing to Arnaz Battle, Vernon Davis and my boy Darrell Jackson. I know that in the regular season I would never make this pick because the bears D is so stellar. However, the Bears will be playing a vanilla -D tonight. They wont be using a lot of blitz packages or other schemes, as they want to save those for the regular season. No, instead we will see a lot of one on one, man, or bump and run coverage which usually leaves Corners on an Island and opens up the middle of the field for TE's. I think that SF will have success with their starters tonight for that very reason. As for Grossman, my gut tells me that the bears will focus more on the run game tonight deflecting the attention from grossman to Cedric Benson and Garret Wolfe, who quietly have not done a whole lot the first few games either. rather than have a bunch of pass plays that could potentially set up Grossman for more criticism, they will have a lot of runs quick slants and screens to the RB's getting them out in space on High percentage plays. In the end I think the Bears will win but not by 6, this one will be more like 20-17 bears.

BDA pick: San Fran +6 (1000pts)
