Here it is boys. First picks for the much anticipated Champions league season.

Take Rangers over Gretna at home. It will be a 2-0 victory for the protestant Scots and the following match they will attempt to draw away giving them the ticket to the next round. Look for Darcheville to play strong with a hint of spice like a fine bordeaux and the possible inclusion of Novo after scoring against Chelsea. I'll give 6-1 odds that if Novo starts he will be first to score. This spaniard is as slick as the Jamon I had with my tapas on Thursday. This pick is about as difficult to imagine as a drug scandel at the Tour De France.

Also, keep your finger on the pulse of Shakhtar Donetsk. I know they are away, but look for them to pull out a win on the road in Armenia. They have some good brazilians and it is still warm out, not to mention the new Italian striker Lucarelli. They made a good run in last years UEFA cup, only losing out to eventual winners Sevilla and they should progress against the inferior competition of this second round qualifier. Plus they just picked up Mexican international Castillo, who is as heated as a sharp jalapeno on sabado gigante.

Can't wait till the big dogs enter the competition.

By the way Arnold Schwarzenegger turns 60 today. So CHILL OUT or TAKE A STEAM!
