Wow.

Recapping yesterdays action and these numbers are downright amazing.

Of the Top 25 ranked teams that had a betting line, they covered the spread yesterday by an amazing 14-4!!!

Take out the California/Tennessee game and your 13-4 in when ranked teams face an unranked opponent this weekend. Thats 76%!!! You almost have to wonder if Vegas purposefully sets these lines low in the opening weekend to suck the public in for the big kill in the coming weekends.

Who were the teams that did not cover?

Michigan
California
Oklahoma
Notre Dame

Sometimes the trend is your friend. We have two more games this weekend where Top 25 schools face an unranked opponent. TCU at Baylor and Louisville at Kentucky. I'll try and be back later with a pick. In the meantime take a look at the pre-season Top 10 worst teams to bet against the spread. I had the Irish at #2. And is it just me or did Charlie Weiss put on 82 more pounds since last year. The quote of the night was when my wife expressed genuine concern when watching the coach argue with one of the officials. "He shouldn't get so worked up like that. He could have a heart attack"
