Greetings Kielbasites,

Memorial Day Weekend is huge in the heart of the Hoosier State. It is the one weekend per year that the entire world turns their attention to the "Greatest Spectical in Racing". 500,000 Race Fans coverage on the Circle City to drink beer in RV's parked on the front lawns of Indy's blue collar Speedway neighborhood. Then when their good and sauced they make the trek to the track to witness first-hand one of the most exciting events in sports... 33 cars wheel to wheel coming around the first turn in excess of 200mph!!!!

The Robnosticator celebrates this yearly ritual by throwing his annual Race Party. Over the years the party vibe has changed. Due to job transfers, divorces, and the birth of little kielbasites the turnouts are a little lower than when we just graduated but I still manage to guilt a significant amount of friends and family to make the event memorable.

This year the tradition continues. The formula for success is simple. Saturday we enjoy a nice picnic complete with two kegs of beer, my eclectic collection of music, and my world famous CHAR-Broiled Burgers. Sunday, I wake up the overnight guests who will complain that they are to hungover to go to the race and we head to the track. Monday, I invite everyone who hasn't left to get the fuck out.

Now, betting on the Indianapolis 500 race is where you can make some serious Zloty if you know what the fuck your doing. MyBookie has odds on the drivers to win if your looking for some action. I have posted those odds at the bottom of this post.

Heres what I would do.

Buy 3 drivers. The front row is going for about +400 to +450. I'd stay away from that. Race fans will remember the year that the whole fron row got taken out in the first lap.

The Second Row is where I'd look at taking some action. You have two veteran drivers with a real possibilty of winning and a relativley unknown (to casual fans, and I when I say casual, I mean people who only watch the 500 and Daytona) driver who could be a big surprise.

The second row is Scott Dixon (+800); Tony Kanaan (+800); and Vitor Meira (+1800). All these driver are serious contenders and while pure speed is obviousley important there is alot more to capping racing than just looking at their qualification speeds.

Robnosticators Pick: Risk 1 Zloty on each Driver (3 Zlotys total)
Payoff is 8 for 3 if Dixon or Kanaan win
18 for 3 if Meira wins

Stay Polska and Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!!!
