Greetings Kielbasites,

As I sat and thought about this weekends games, I chuckled to myself as I imagined my fellow Sedge Court Cappers, Big Dumb Animal, Enzo, Bobcat and Big Money Pimpa, discussing Da Bears chances in Sundays Game. You see those jokers are from Chicago, and when the four of them get together it's like a scene from this video of "Bob Sworsky's Super Fan"

Well, I hope the "SuperFans" have something to smile about on Sunday, but my first loyalty is to pick winners for the loyal Kielbasite following. My goal for this weekend is simple and straight forward.

Now lets get to the picks.....

Carolina Panthers (+2 1/2) at Chicago (Robnosticators Game of the Week)

This is the end of the road for Chicago. Sorry Fellas, maybe next year. Living here in Nap-Town the sports hacks have been all over whether or not the Colts will be ready to play sunday after taking close to a month off. If folks are concerned about Manning and the Colts being rusty they must be downright flipping out over the "rust-factor" with Rex Grossman.

Defense win Championships. We have all heard that cliche'; but at some point the offense needs to play. The Bears will be a phenomonal team next year, but asking Grossman to win a playoff game after sitting the whole season is simply to much. He can't do it.

The Panthers defense is tough and should have little problem shutting down thr Bears. Delhomme and his offensive line know what to expect and will do a much better job of avoiding turnovers and sacks. The Bears capatalized on turnovers in the first matchup. That wont happen again.

Take the points. Panthers win outright.

Washington (+9) at Seattle (10 point pick)

As long as I'm pissing off family, I'm going to go ahead and take the Redskins to cover the spread. Too much is being made of the poor offensive showing against Tampa. Too much blame is being placed on Washingtons impotent offense and not enough credit given to the toughness of the Buc defense.

The Redskin Defense has allowed only 16.7 points per game in their last three. Shaun Alexander is dangerous but if the Skins can shut him down they might even have a shot at an upset.

The variable is whether or not the Redskins offense is able to put some point on the board. They will play better than expected but in the end their season ends saturday.

Take the points. Seahawks win but can't cover the number.

Patriots at Broncos (-3 1/2) (10 point pick)

Fuck Tom Brady. I don't care that he has never lost a playoff game. Brady, Brady, Brady. puke, puke, puke.

Hey Tom, you not only lose a playoff game but your team gets spanked!

Lay the number. The Broncos head to Indianapolis (Just like I predicted months ago)

and last but not least....

Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianpolis Colts Under 47 1/2 (Bonus Pick)

God do I want to lay my money on the Colts. God do I want to Steelers to lose. I really, really, really do. But, the number seems much to large. Both Defenses have been playing well and shutting down their opponents. Pittsburgh loves to run the ball and burn clock. The only way to stop Indianapolis is to disrupt Manning and force the Colts to use the running game. This all equals up to a low scoring affair (like weekends were for Big Money Pimpa when he was in college).

Colts win in a gut-wrencher. Play the Under.
