So here is how it will work going forward just in case you actually care and managed to read this far down in my post.
The Handicapping Competition will be scored in three ways.
Best Overall Points
Each of the Sedge Court Cappers is required to pick at least three games a week. These are their strongest play's and presumably the ones they have done the most research on. One of theses games must be classified as their Game of the Week. In addition once a month the must choose a Game of the Month. The points will be distributed as follows.
The Picks for the competition are broken down into three categorys:
1.) Official Weekly Pick: Worth +/-10 points
2.) Game of the Week: Worth +/-30 Points
3.) Game of the Month: Worth +/-50 points
If a capper fails to make a pick he will be deducted points as if it were a loss.
Best Overall Record
In addition, we will track the overall win/loss/push record for the Sedge Court Cappers. This will encourage them to make more than three selections per week, but wont penalize them in the points contest. Most of us actually bet more than three games; the "Best Overall Record" is an accurate reflection of how the capper actually performed in his own betting account. Failure to make at least three picks will result in a loss for each minimum pick missed.
The Sedge Court Choice
Lastly, at the end of the season we will let our readers (currently 3) vote on who their favorite capper is.
Prize Money
The Prize Money will be awarded from a percentage of our Adsense revenue. The Overall Point's Leader and Best Overall Record Leader will each get 40% of the kitty and The Sedge Court Choice winner will get 20%. The best way to ensure that the Sedge Court Cappers work hard at getting you the best free picks is to tell your friends about our corner of the web and most importantly to support our sponsers!
